The Dark Snake In The Sky

On 05/18/2024 01:43 am by Desmond Allred| Tremonton, UT 84302 USA

This is probably my favourite image that I have captured so far in my 3 years in doing astrophotography! I loved how it all came together. I found a cool looking area of the Milky Way while exploring my star app (SkyGuide). I was excited to see if I could capture the dark dust lanes with a bright moon overhead. I was getting good five minute subs with amazing guiding as well. Look at all those stars! The moon was at 75% waxing gibbous no filter needed!
