Beach Rose

Commonly called beach rose, Rosa rugosa grows widely on the coast as wild flowers. Blooming profusely at this time, they tolerate salt water spray, has a fragrant scent and the slightly wrinkled petals make them somehow look unreal in their beauty. I took this photo on an overcast day to have a soft image without the harsh light and shadows.
