Solar Storm Colors at Nubble Lighthouse
On 05/05/2024 10:13 pm by Patricia Evans| Nubble Lighthouse, Cape Neddick, Maine
The Solar Storm produced some stunning colors in the sky tonight at Nubble Lighthouse in Cape Neddick, Maine! I watched as the ripples of color changed and danced across the sky. It was so much fun to hear all the "oooohs" and "ahhhhs' and oh wows from fellow onlookers! I watched the sky from 8:00 pm to midnight. The height of the activity and bright colors happened at around 10:00 pm.
And I was pleasantly surprised to see colors still in the sky from my house when I got home at 12:30 am.
I watched the Solar Eclipse, also, which was also a spectacular event. But I have never seen the Northern Lights and I was in awe when I saw them!
Nubble Lighthouse at Sohier Park in Cape Neddick is my favorite viewing spot for celestial events. The parking lot is high, on a point of land, and it is dark here at night. I knew it would be the perfect spot to view the Northern Lights tonight and I was right!
