A coal tit launches itself into the air from the rock where it was feeding on seeds scattered to attract birds. The photo was shot handheld through the open window of a car at a distance of just 2.5 metres (8 ft). Even at a shutter speed of 1/3200s there is noticeable motion blur from the wing.
