As is so often the case, I learned from my EarthSky newsletter that the waxing crescent moon would be near the Hyades and the Pleiades yesterday evening. I used a 52mm lens, rather than a telescope, and got Jupiter also, at the very bottom of the frame.

I used the star from a longer exposure and the moon from a shorter one, brightening the stars without blowing out the moon.
