Trumpeter swans are a conservation success story in Alberta, Canada. By the 1900's, they were almost extinct. Their species status went from endangered to threatened and today, remains at sensitive. Their haunting bugle calls can be heard wherever they congregate. This spring morning arrived with a dazzling coating of hoarfrost.
