A classic lenticular, orographic wave cloud, formed and hovered in the sky for about ten minutes. Note the truck in the bottom left for scale. This is a windy stretch of highway with towering mountains in the distance to the left. I snapped a few shots and hummed David Bowie's classic 1969 song, Space Oddity...ground control to Major Tom.
