Everglades National Park 🐊

Alligators are an imperative species to the Everglades ecosystem - When nesting, alligators dig holes that actually create water reserves which become important during the dry season. Many species speak refuge in these reserves.

Female alligators also help in creating peat soil during their nesting process which is largely beneficial to several turtle species - they’re known to incubate their eggs inside alligator nests.

While many people are afraid of gators, they aren’t typically predatory to humans unless their environment is disturbed. So sit back and enjoy their natural beauty from afar and you should be just fine 😊
