The Great Egret (Ardeas alba) is a large, widely distributed wading bird. Its feathers are entirely white. It has a long, sharp yellow bill and long gray to black legs, with non-webbed feet with very long toes. It's a very attractive waterbird. It possesses a very long neck, exceeding the length of its body.
This egret was fishing alone around a dock by the river. The signage says "Private Property No Trespassing" for humans but the egret and the other waterfowls seem to know that they are welcome.
