The High Point Monument in New Jersey is 7.1 miles (11.4km) away from my house in Pennsylvania. I could see it if it wasn't for the trees. Using the Photoephemeris application, I found that my house, the Hight Point Monument and the sun at sunrise will be almost perfectly aligned on the winter solstice day. So I rented a drone to take this picture. Actually, the High Point is approximately 200ft (61m) higher than the flight altitude of the drone, which means that the actual sunrise point (behind the High Point) is even closer to the monument than in the picture. By the way, the monument is 220ft (67m) high.
