On the 24th of November 2023, I captured this image, featuring the moon at an 86.1% phase, coinciding with a conjunction with Jupiter. Jupiter, the fifth planet from the sun, is a massive gas giant characterized by a tumultuous atmosphere and rings that are less prominent than Saturn's. Jupiter boasts a minimum of 79 identified moons, among them the four Galilean moons—Io, Europa, Ganymede, and Callisto—each exhibiting unique characteristics like volcanoes, potential oceans, and cratered surfaces. This celestial alignment presented a captivating opportunity to observe this astronomical phenomenon.
