The Pleiades star cluster also known as the Seven Sisters is now visible here in the Northern Hemisphere, rising from the north east direction. It is an open star cluster containing middle-aged, hot B-type stars in the north-west of the constellation Taurus. It is known to be the nearest star clusters to Earth and visible to the naked eye during clear night skies. On the right as seen from this picture is The Hyades Star. From our view from Earth the Hyades Cluster appears in the constellation Taurus, where its brightest stars form a "V" shape along with the still-brighter Aldebaran. However, Aldebaran is unrelated to the Hyades, as it is located much closer to Earth and merely happens to lie along the same line of sight.
