It was an overcast day. The type of day that sunglasses were not needed because the clouds were dark and thick. The eclipse was well under way and there was no sign of the sun or an indication of where to point the camera. With luck and in the distance I could see a bright band of clouds and knew that could be my opportunity to catch even a glimpse of the eclipse. I waited for the thinner clouds and now knew where to point the camera and was able to captured several shots before the clouds hide the sun once again. I captured this image at at 600mm, ISO 1008, f/14, 1/2000 sec.

Nikon D810, Sigma 150-600mm, Gitzo Carbon 6X tripod, Wimberley Swing Arm.

I used Lightroom and moved the exposure 1f stop down and added a higher contrast. Highlight and shadows remained at 0. I added a bit of white and reduced the black slightly. Temperature was 6500 Kelvin with no tint adjustment.
