I had planned to shoot through my Orion Star Seeker IV 107mm telescope but I couldn't find the solar filter I had for it and by the time I went to order another it wouldn't have arrived on time. So I used a smaller filter on a Nikon lens. I have much longer lenses but the filters I had wouldn't fit. I wasn't very well prepared. In any case, I had fun watching from our property here on the rez, one of my dogs keeping me company, and shooting some pics. I donned eclipse glasses so that I could watch in between shots and I was pleased with my images even though I'd had a bigger plan in the beginning. I created a collage of several shots to show the progression of the moon over the sun. I'm not positive but I think the first shot shows a couple sun spots too.
