The last Supermoon of the Year was seen in its full glory on 29 September. The full moon coincided with the celebration of the Mid-Autumn Festival also popularly known as the lantern or mooncake festival. The moon was clearly visible in the skies an hour after its rise from the east and was about 361, 520 km away from Earth when the picture was taken.
