I traveled to Shenandoah National Park in Virginia and in the quiet embrace of a moonless night, under the ethereal glow of the Milky Way, stood a solitary tree, its branches barren, yet resilient against the passage of time. As the world slept, the heavens came alive with the Perseid meteor showers, a cosmic spectacle that has graced our skies for centuries.
