The Sun as it goes down the marine cloud layer over the ocean horizon is beautiful as it changes from gold to red orange to pink. This is mostly due to the wildfire haze that lingers in the atmosphere. The wildfires from the other day is still raging at south Salem, Oregon which is about an hour and a half drive from the Oregon Coast. The First Quarter Moon also turns gold ochre due to the haze. Not long after the images were taken, The Sun and The Moon disappeared behind the clouds.
