This is a lighthouse that I have been meaning to photograph for some time. The very powerful lights mounted at the base of the structure proved to be a real challenge, hence the exposure bracketed HDR stack.
Despite the area being Bortle 4, the skyline in the direction of the Milky Way is heavily light polluted. The orange glow is coming from three French cities on the Southern side of the English Channel.
First, I photographed the Lighthouse at Blue Hour, waiting until I was able to capture some stars for orientation. Once I knew where the stars were in the image, I moved my tripod round to the dark side of the Lighthouse to capture the Milky Way.

Bortle scale: 4
Optics Milky Way: Canon RF 15-35 f/2.8 L IS USM @ 15mm f/2.8
Optics Lighthouse: Canon RF 15-35 f/2.8 L IS USM @ 15mm f/8.0
Camera: Canon Ra @ ISO3200
Mount: Benro Tripod
Milky Way: 121 x 15sec No filter
Foreground: 8 x Exposure bracketed HDR stack
