It was quite a job to obtain the photo considering Venus was just 7.5° from the Sun limb. First I located the planet with 10x50s, then had to find it in the screen using a hood to cover head and camera like Far West photographer, so it was quite a relief to see the planet appear in the screen and obtain the so desired shot. The planet and the photographer were smiling at the same time. (6 hours post conjunction, phase 0.9%, diameter 57.7")
