The elusive Alaskan Sturgeon moon. The moon will rise just slightly over the horizon and will rise and set in 3 hours and 9 minutes (moonrise - 12:42 AM; moonset 2:51 AM). Just as the moon started to rise, clouds came in and obscured everything. We are in North Pole, Alaska for a 63 day tour of the state and are getting used to the amount of daylight. Previously, we were in Chicken, Alaska and the moon didn't rise at all!
