Venus between the columns of the Temple of Juno
The temple, of the Doric order, can be dated to the 5th century BC. and is located on the highest rocky spur of the hill of ancient Akragas, in the eastern part of what is known to all as the Valley of the Temples, in Agrigento.
On the evening of July 14, I spent several hours in this magical place, where the atmosphere is truly evocative: what made everything more wonderful was seeing the planet Venus between the illuminated columns of the temple. It was a great emotion to be able to photograph the scene.
