A Great Blue Heron stands out among the Common Murres. They tolerate each others presence.
The blue heron grow to be about 4.5 feet in length, the largest of the heron birds in North America.
The murre's stance and coloring closely resembles a penguin. Their feet sit far back on their body giving them a distinct upright posture. They weigh about two pounds and average 17.5 inches in length.
