The Crescent Nebula is a cosmic bubble about 25 light-years across, blown by winds from its central, bright, massive star. The star is called WR 136 and it is a type of star known as a Wolf-Rayet star. The nebula is located in the constellation Cygnus, about 5000 light-years away from Earth. It is an emission nebula, which means it emits light from ionized gas.
It took 7h 15’ to image from bortel 8 sky.
