The Pollinator
More than ever, it is so important not to use chemicals in our gardens. Bees all over the world are dying from pesticides and other harmful environmental conditions. I encourage birds, butterflies, and bees in my garden by planting milkweed(for monarchs) and other flowering plants. These help my vegetable garden as well because of pollination. This image is of a 24"x10" succulent composite of tens of flowers that the bees are swarming over. I had to capture this at 1/3200 of a second/ISO400 to catch the bee in flight...they are fast, also an indication that they are healthy. It gives me immense pleasure to present this image.

Edited in Lightroom. RAW image increased exposure; brought up slightly the vibrance and saturation; increased clarity and texture; lowered the temperature a bit and cropped for a finished image.
