Sunset on the Pacific Ocean as seen on Agate Beach. Unlike the steep rugged rocky shorelines only a few miles north, Agate Beach has sandy shores. It is said that about 65 years ago, there were still plenty of agates on the beach where it must have gotten its name. Presently, there are none to be found, but it's still a beautiful sandy shoreline.
