The closer to actual sunset, the more fire orange the sun becomes. Sunspots were clearly visible. The fires were directly above us in Canada and the Northeast winds blew down covering our entire Finger Lakes region with an eerie golden orange glow from sunup to sundown. We have been in the highest hazardous air quality zone with no outdoor activity allowed in many schools.
