Two pelicans and common murres on the rock. The birds flying and swimming are all common murres. The are black and white birds but the appear golden brown in the golden morning sunlight. A tourist charter fishing boat passes by the busy birds.
In the U.S. we are celebrating Memorial Day to honor and mourn the military personnel who died while serving in the U.S. armed forces. It is a meaningful federal holiday. Celebrating or not, I wish everyone a memorable day.
