On May 28th, just before midnight, the first quarter Moon was setting in the west, casting its bright moonlight onto the sea surface. The originally dark sea at midnight became extraordinarily beautiful, resembling a sea illuminated by moonlight. I specifically used HDR (High Dynamic Range) photography to capture the scene. Not only did I witness the stunning moonlit sea, but the first quarter Moon, perfectly illuminated with its brightness at exactly half, was also prominently visible. I could even see the Earthshine on the dark portion of the moon, accompanied by a little lunar corona. It was truly one of the most beautiful moonlit seascapes I have ever witnessed.
