Wild peony or Paeonia peregrine. It`s such a beautiful, fragrant and interesting wild flower I shot in Northern Bulgaria a couple of days ago. Wild peonies thrive mostly in deciduous broad - leaved forests, in pine forests or in mixed forests, less frequently in grasses. The plant prefers calcareous soils and can be found usually at altitudes from 50 to 1,500 meters.
