You would think we were in the heat of the summer with these hazy skies. Instead we are still getting smoke from the wild fires burning in Canada.
With that said today 5/23/23 at 7:55 I pointed my camera at the sun using my canon 5D MarkIV and sigma 60-600 lens. My settings were, shutter speed 4000 F/22 ISO 50. I waited until the sun was an orange ball. If you are unsure of doing this I suggest you don’t try it.(You can damage your eyes and burn your sensor)
Sun spot 3310 is the large dark patch facing us on the sun. That sunspot can fit about four Earths into it (now that’s really crazy) The other visible sunspots are 3313,3311,3314 The plane passing was a bonus
