This is a four minute single exposure composited with a 25 second exposure foreground for earlier in the evening. Otherwise any single star tracked image will have a very blurred foreground from the tracker following the stars not the earth's rotation. There were hazy cloud now and then along with windblown dusty and silt from the lakebed.

Unseen to the human eye was gobs of green and red airglow bands. I'll stack a set of images next to see how it looks. A time lapsed exposure would appear as if the super mild Northern Lights were out. When I scroll fast through 10 images it appears just like alternating bands of red and green going across the night sky. I took close to 300 images and tossed 50 or so bad ones...so lots to process.

My 3 cameras running besides the cell phone were: Canon T7 with Rokinon 14 mm lens, Sony a7s with Rokinon 24mm lens, Sony a7ii with a Zhongyi Speedmaster 85mm lens.

Canon T7 w/ Rokinon 14mm lens, intervalometer, MSM star tracker on tripod.

Color and contrast enhanced, composited with foreground.
