May is usually driest month in Tucson, but clouds, rain, lightning, and rainbows this mid-May. Not "officially" a monsoon - a pre-monsoon. For a few days there has been rain, clouds, lightning (https://flic.kr/p/2oB9yJ5) and rainbows. An unusual pattern this year. The double rainbow just before Sunset was particularly striking as a light rain created the circumstances and the low angle Sun lit the rainbow creating brilliant colors. The rainbow was long-lasting, becoming brighter and dimming several times as the Sun was alternately breaking out from behind clouds near the horizon.
