I took this photo while hiking up at Mount Baldy, California. Mount Baldy is the highest peak in the Los Angeles area. This year Southern California has experienced a much larger than normal amount of snow in the mountain areas north of Los Angeles. This photo shows the results of an almost unprecedented early May snow fall. Most of our snow would have been melted by now.
