Recent Full Moon Setting, Rising and Setting again.
Clear skies in the early mornings and evening on two consecutive days provided a rare opportunity to photograph a perfectly Full Moon setting, rising and setting again as shown in the accompanying spectacular montage. The two left hand images were taken while the Moon was descending in darkness in the pre-dawn sky to the WSW of Mutare at 5.16 and 5.25 am on 5th May. The centre images were taken within half-a-minute of each other while the Moon was rising in dusk above Cecil Kop Nature Reserve to the east of Mutare at 5.38 pm on the same day. The two right hand images were taken at 6.01 and 6.18 am on 6th May while the Moon was descending behind a pink and orange Belt of Venus to the southwest of Mutare at Sunrise.

Hand-held and tripod-mounted Panasonic Lumix DMC- ZS40 in manual and sunset modes.

Compilation of six-image montage of resized and registered close-up views of the Full Moon taken on two consecutive days.
