The eggs in this nest on Peebles Island should be hatching in about two weeks or so. The male & female have been taking turns incubating the eggs, but the female does most of the work. While one sits on the nest, the other is hunting for food or perching nearby to protect the nest. In the photo one just flew in & the other flies out, known as the "changing of the guard".
