I was conducting a night sky photography workshop here on Saturday night, March 25th, 2023. The forecast had the clouds clearing around sunset and that is exactly what happened! My group was rewarded with many photo ops on Saturday night into Sunday morning. Besides the milky way images we planned to capture, this conjunction was on the top of the list. This was certainly a great way to start off out night sky workshop! We then captures images of the Orion nebula, and various locations with the milky way. We also saw and captured some late night shooting star and a flock of starlink satellites as dawn began to break. What a night!
