Jupiter and Venus nearing Conjunction.
I shot this photo of the moonlit, snow covered, Tenmile Mountain Range in Summit County, Colorado. The single 120 second photo shows star trails as well as the much brighter “planet trails” of Jupiter and Venus in the far right hand side of the photo. Venus is brighter and closer to the horizon. I took this photo near my hometown of Frisco, Colorado which sits at 9,100 feet. The peak on the right is Peak One (12,805’) and the peak on the left is Tenmile Peak (12933’). Peak One is lighter in my photo because in addition to being lit by the moon, it is also being lit by the light pollution coming from Frisco, which lies just beyond the foreground hill on the right.

Camera: Nikon Z7II
Lens: Nikon 70-200mm
Single shot 120 second exposure (not a composite)
ISO 64
f/4

Processed in Lightroom to brighten the foreground and correct the color balance.
