I wanted to catch the Moon and Jupiter above Venus Wednesday evening, but the forecast is for rain, snow and ice pellets. So, I ran out to see if I could catch the Moon tonight before it set at 7:30pm. The Moon is reddish due to shining through moisture left over from a line of heavy rain showers that passed through an hour before.
An aircraft's blinking lights joined the scene during the 10-second exposure.
Canon XS on tripod. 40mm lens setting at f/7.1 for 10 seconds at ISO-400.
I cropped the photo to show the vertical nature of this line up. Brightened and contrast increased in Photoshop Elements 15 to bring out the Earthshine on the Moon.
