This is Heart Nebula (also known as the Running dog nebula, IC 1805, Sharpless 2-190) is an emission nebula, 7500 light years away from Earth and located in the Perseus Arm of the Galaxy in the constellation Cassiopeia. It was discovered by William Herschel on 3 November 1787. It displays glowing ionized hydrogen gas and darker dust lanes.

As a woman and an astrophotographer who is deeply inlove with the beauty of the deep dark sky, I just want to share this Heart Nebula this Valentine's Day. Dedicated of course to my ever loving husband who is the wind beneath my wings, to all people who love the tremendous beauty of the night, to all people who help prevent light pollution, to all astrophotographers who sacrifice their sleep just to chase light from the dark and share those to others...I LOVE YOU ALL from your Valentine!
