IC 443, or the Jellyfish Nebula, is thought to be a supernova remnant (SNR) and is located in the constellation Gemini. It is part of a larger H II region, S249, several young stars, and another older SNR. The nebula's size spans an area of about 50 arcminutes, nearly twice the size of the full moon (about 30 arcminutes).
