An abundance of heavy snow can make things difficult for Crows. But it does present a handy (er, beaky) opportunity for nut hideaways!
Here my young friend Georgina drills into a snowdrift atop our large Cedar. She is making the perfect spot in which to hide her treasure – a plump juicy walnut – from the prying eyes of her ever-vigilant siblings.

I lightened shadows a bit to enhance detail in the Crow's feathers. I also toned down some blue color ghosting at the edges of the snow.
