The Downy Woodpecker visited with his Christmas Hat on this Christmas Eve. He stayed for a meal of suet - beef tallow with assorted seeds. He is a very frequent visitor and always announces his arrival with a chirping " Hello!" and strutting moves as he descends the tree to the feeder.
