It’s still the nautical twilight, over an hour before sunrise, but the stars had begun to pale because of the bright waning gibbous moon overhead (not included in the image). The belt of Venus is just starting to appear. I can barely see on the horizon. The belt of Venus is an atmospheric optical phenomena that creates a pink band in the sky at sunrise and sunset.
