The occultation of Uranus by the moon that will only be encountered in more than 2,000 years is really rare!
This photo is a composite of 6 photos before and after Uranus occultation . The post-production process is to fix the moon in the middle, and obtain the tracks of Uranus before and after the occultation of Uranus. It can be seen from the figure that Uranus is moving up and to the right. But it's actually the moon that moves slower in the sky, so it's moving closer to Uranus.
Before Uranus occulted, the moon was close to middle of eclipse, and the whole appeared red. The end of Uranus' occultation occurs about 10 minutes after third contact, forming a distinct blue belt between the bright region and dark red region.
In addition, in the enlarged image on the upper right, it is surprising to see that Uranus is blue! This has to be exposed just right to get it.
