Lone Peak mountain. At 11,260 tall it is one of the highest in the Wasatch range. The notch area in the center top is the summit. Made of quartz monzonite which is an igneous rock which looks like granite.

The Lake Bonneville shoreline is at the bottom of the image and is a hiking trail which is also known as "the bench". It was the highest level of the ancient lake and is at 5,100 feet above sea level. The freshwater lake drained thousands of years ago into the Upper Snake River and flowed into the Pacific Ocean leaving the shoreline like a rim or bench along the Wasatch mountain range and other locations.

This is my backyard view. I have yet to climb this one but have summited Deseret Peak and Mt.Timpanogos both of which are also 11K footers.
