Golden Eagles are normally found in Canada and the Rocky Mountains. Occasionally, (October/ November,) young birds, easily identified by the white wing “patches” and tail markings, will migrate through New Jersey as uncommon migrants. Typically, the population normally found in Canada migrate via the Appalachian Mountains but the younger birds are more likely to end up along the coast.
