Here is a new vision of the eclipse.

The goal was to show the entire area of the Sun that was obscured during the entire phenomenon.

7 salient phases were therefore selected, which include the moments close to the first and last contact, as well as the phase of maximum darkening.

The images of the Sun were stacked and aligned using sunspots as a reference.

The "checkerboard" area indicates the set of all the lunar contours during the various phases of the eclipse and therefore shows the entire displacement of the moon in front of the sun.

Inside the image you can recognize the arcs that delimit the individual shots and the didactic photo shows the times of each.

The "chessboard" has various shades of color that highlight the areas of greatest and least presence of the Moon during its passage in front of the Sun.

The black areas are those that have had the most coverage by the Moon

Camera:Nikon D750 + astrosolar+ Sigma 600mm + teleconverter; 1200mm; ISO 100; f/13; 1/60 sec.

Processing: I use Photoshop. I loaded the 7 files as layers, selected them and applied the blending mode on all of them: “soft light".
