Low tide on a brisk fall morning in Southeast Alaska on Prince of Wales Island, in a Native American community, Klawock ( pronounced kloe-wock). The Tlingit Nation ( pronounced Klin-ket) is the predominant population in the town of 755 persons. The Tongass National Forest which includes Prince of Wales island receives 10-12 feet of rain annually. Yep, that's a foot a month...and the only reason I don't live there now after 23 consecutive years of visiting it. I kinda enjoy Utah's 300 sunny days annually and the desert climate.
