Lunar Surface image featuring - Eratosthenes crater, which is a relatively deep lunar impact crater that lies on the boundary between the Mare Imbrium and Sinus Aestuum mare regions. It forms the western terminus of the Montes Apenninus mountain range.
This crater is believed to have formed around 3.2 billion years ago.
Named after an ancient Greek astronomer who estimated the circumference of the Earth and distance from Earth to Sun.

During moments of rare good seeing while imaging the moon disc, I couldn't help but notice this beautiful feature of lunar surface and imaged it in high resolution.

Hope you all ike it!
