On vacation at Gulf Shores Alabama provided a nice dark sky to view the Tau Herculid meteor shower. It certainly over-performed from what is usually expected, but overall only saw about 10 meteors over about an hour and a half. Luckily, I captured one of them streaking in front of the Milky Way! Made it worth staying up late.
